When you look in the mirror who do you see?
What do you say to yourself?
·                              Do you love the person you see?
·                              What words are you subconsciously saying to yourself?
·                              Do you love your body?
·                              Are you judging yourself?
·                              Do you enjoy being with yourself?
 
My experience after 24 years of being in the ministry is that as women, we are our own worst enemy!
 
We think others are judging us (and they may be) but probably not as much
as we are judging ourselves.
 
To put things in perspective in regards to worrying about what others think about us, I heard a statistic recently on a CD I was listening to.   Did you know that at the average amount of people crying over the deceased is only 10 people?  And, whether or not they will decide to come to the cemetery for the burial depends upon the weather!  Let's get real, other people are not as concerned about you as much as you are.
 
Having said that, I'm here to encourage you and to tell you that you are loved and created in a very special and unique way and you are valuable!
 
We all suffer from a degree of self-hate.  Our past, our failures, our sins, and our families all these things can impact our lives.  But, the question is, are we going to let it determine our value and self-worth?  There is embedded within our mind and emotions pictures and feelings that we can not seem to shake it, thus affecting our self image and how we view ourselves. Our past does affect our future.  So what hope do we have for a good future?  How can we learn to love and look at ourselves in a loving and positive way?
